DHAKA: At least 10 people were killed Sunday as police clashed with thousands of hardline Islamists demanding a new blasphemy law, turning parts of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka into a battleground.
Three of the dead were confirmed at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, police inspector Mozammel Haq told AFP, while seven others were confirmed at two private clinics, officials said. (AFP)
